TRIAD-UTRAD Brand Transformers Are A Division Of Magnetek, Inc.
This Triad Model N-1X Stepdown Autotransformer Is A Brand New (never used) Unit Left Over In Our Retail Store Inventory From The Mid 1980's. It Still Has The Original Retail Price Sticker That Shows It Was Selling For $12.88 More Than 20 Years Ago.
Triad Autotransformers Are Constructed Of A Single Winding On A Double Wall, Nylon Bobbin. The Secondary Coil Is A Fraction Of The Entire Winding For Voltage Step-Down. This Causes Part Of The Power To Be Transferred Conductively Through The Windings, Rather Than All Of The Power Being Transferred By Induction. Units Are Designed With 1500V Isolation Between The Winding And The Core.
