New Rycom LD-8000 Acoustic Leak Detector
You are looking at an LD-8000 Acoustic Leak Detector from Rycom Instruments. This unit is specially designed to locate and listen for leaks in buried pressurized lines; great for leaks in water lines. The LD 8000 Leak Detector is a state-of-the-art leak detector designed to meet the demands of the proffesional leak finder. It listens for vibrations generated by the pressure change of escaping liquids and gasses. Detection capabilities are enhanced with six user selectable band pass frequencies - 100Hz, 200Hz, 300Hz, 500Hz, 800Hz and 1200Hz. Wide acoustic range of 50Hz to 4000Hz located leaks in cast or PVC.
Vibration radiation created by the escaping liquid is collected using a geo-phone ground sensor and fed to Digital Wave Filtering Chips in the main unit. These digital noise filters reduce unwanted noises and interference in the locators immediate testing environment and help to highlight the leak cues. Isolating the leak vibration creates the best situation for qualified and accurate leak detection.
