Before you email a request for belt pricing and availability please follow the directions below very closely and send as much of the requested information from steps (1) (required) ; and from steps (2) and (3) if possible:
* (1) The make and model number of the unit in which each belt is used. (required info! - without this info I can not determine which belts your unit needs)
* (2) The required dimensions for each new belt you need. If you do not know what the original dimensions were of the belt(s) you need these may be found from the Belt Sizing Instructions below. If you have a part number available for your belt(s) also send this info.
* (3) Whether each belt has a square cross-section (square belt) or a flat cross-section (flat belt). I no longer have round cross-section belts available.

Belt Sizing Instructions for step (2) above: If you already know the proper dimensions for your new replacement belts please send this information. If not, please read the following instructions carefully for determining the proper size for a new belt from measurements of the old belts. Belts go bad in many different ways, therefore there are many variables to consider when replacing them. You do not want a new belt with the same dimensions as an old, stretched belt! Remember: If you send the wrong dimensions you will receive the wrong belt. So follow directions closely!
I need the following ("new belt") dimensions for each belt you need:
* Length (of belt material) for each belt, in inches, plus the
* Width (for flat belts) or Thickness (for square belts), in inches.
Note: Belts are not wheels and do not have a diameter!! If you take or send a "diameter" specification you will receive the wrong belt!
Note: Length of belt material (inside circumference) is the total distance around the inside of a belt, as if the belt were cut and a measurement taken of the resulting length.
Note: Belts stretch as they age by up to 5%. This is why stretched and broken belt lengths are multiplied by 0.95 to compensate for this stretch.
Note: Length of Belt Material = Inside Circumference
If the belt is old, stretched and possibly slipping but not broken:
Length (new belt) = Length (of old belt) X 0.95
Thickness (new belt) = Thickness (of old belt)
Length (new belt) = Length (of old belt) X 0.95
Width (new belt) = Width (of old belt)
Note: One way to measure the length of an unbroken flat belt is to: flatten the belt with the two ends pinched together. Pull the belt very taute, but don't stretch it. Carefully and accurately measure the length of this doubled belt. Note: Length (inside circumference) is the total distance around the inside of a belt! If you are taking a measurement of a doubled belt you need to multiply this measurement by 2 to get the actual total length of the belt, as if the were cut and measurement taken of the resulting length.
If the belt is broken measure the length of the broken belt:
Length (new belt) = Length (of old belt) X 0.95
Thickness (new belt) = Thickness (of old belt)
Length (new belt) = Length (of old belt) X 0.95
Width (new belt) = Width (of old belt)
If the belt is missing or completely deteriorated then, using a string, measure the circumference of the path where the old belt traveled. Subtract 5% from this measurement. This will give you the required length for a new belt. If the belt was a flat belt measure the width of the space on the motor pulley where the belt sits, or the width of a piece of the old belt, if it still exists. If the belt was a square belt measure the width of the grooves from the pullies where the belt traveled. Send the width and length for each belt you need and also let me know that these dimensions are for missing belts, and exactly how you took the measurements.
If the belt is new and you simply want a spare replacement, send the actual dimensions of the belt.
