We just bought out a long time Phoenix surplus electronics distributor. All of these parts are
absolutely "as new", most are aerospace quality, and most are leading traditional American
brands. The bulk of the items are unused production overstock. Offered items are not ROHS
Offered here are lots of twenty five assorted premium quality crystal oscillator modules. Most are "full size" units are slightly larger than an ordinary integrated circuit but easily fit in a standard 14 pin narrow DIP socket. Models might include Dale XO-43B or Valpey Fisher VF150 or similar in a variety of part numbers. Many are rectangular epoxy molded; others are hermetically sealed. Most are standard, a few are strange.
Crystal oscillator modules are exceptionally useful as ready-to-go frequency standards or
references. You input 5vdc and a (usually) enable, and a square wave is output that is TTL or
CMOS logic compatible. All in a single module without any trimming, buffering, worries about
terminating capacitances, multiple parts, or reliability hassles.
Pinouts are often as follows: Pin 1 is either nc or a tristate enable that has to be high or floating
when an output is desired. And grounded to disable. Pin 7 is ground. Pin 8 is the TTL and CMOS
compatible output and pin 14 is the +5 volt DC supply. Other pins are often not present. Typical
Stability isoften at least 100 ppm, equal to 0.01 percent or better.
Thus quite useful but are not oven stabilized.
