You can have the pleasure of build a kit without spending hundreds of dollars on a vintage Heathkit or adapt the meter for custom instrumentation.
The M1000 operates around a custom LSI chip. This chip contains a dual slope A/D converter, display latches, seven segment decoder, and display driver. The input voltage or current signals are conditioned by the selector switches. For resistance measurements, an internal voltage source drives the test resistor in series with a known resistor. Illustrated instructions include schematics and the theory of operation.
DC voltage, DC current, AC voltage, Resistance, Diode Check, 33Hz Square Wave output.
To get you started, an Ungar 7500 solder iron with 33W heater and tip, solder iron holder, desoldering kit, soldering aid kit, desoldering pump, dip extractor and more are included.
