Instron 1026 Tensile Testing Machine. The machine is used but still in very good to great condition. Mechanically the frame is sound and it is fully functional. It is perfect for and includes accessories to test wires, and small samples. It includes (2) Load Cells; 50lb Tensile and 500 Gram tensile. In addition, it includes (6) sets of grips. (2) sets are pneumatic and (4) are mechanical. A pedestal is currently mounted on the base with a hand clamp. It comes with (2) gears to control the rate, 26AX, which translates to a strain rate of 10 in/min. The load cells and grips are in excellent condition, and have been tested functional. The unit also includes a pneumatic foot pedal which is used to apply pressure to the grips. Includes a chart recorder. The chart recorder is also operational. The gears that run the chart recorder are slightly worn, they still function, but should be replaced. This is a nice set-up. The sheet metal case around the electronics has ahas some signs of wear, slightly bent in a few places. Minor surface rust on the drive gear. This does not affect operation.
