The Metalliscanner finds metal up to 6" depth!
Zircon Corporation introduces MT6, the electronic answer to finding rebar, conduit, junction boxes and more that are hidden behind walls or embedded in materials such as concrete, tile or marble. With MT6 - a major upgrade to the popular MetalliScanner® - contractors can scan through up to six inches of non-metallic construction materials, eliminating guesswork and breakage of costly drill bits.
A new, more user-friendly interface means there is less of a learning curve for using MT6. A large plus/minus icon indicates proximity to the target. And depth bars, prominently featured in the center of the LCD screen, make it easier to see the depth of the target. MT6 also takes the guesswork out of identifying the target material, automatically determining and reporting whether the target is ferrous or non-ferrous. There's no switch to turn on, so users can search for both types of metal at the same time and know exactly what has been found.
The MT6 is a "must-have" for any job site. Concrete and electrical contractors can use it to find rebar in concrete floors, walls, driveways, roads and partitions. The MT6 will help plumbers and masonry contractors in the hunt for pipes, junction boxes and conduit.
"The MT6 gives a craftsperson 20/20 vision when working through the surface of solid construction materials," said Zircon President Charles Stauss. "Locating metal embedded up to a half foot deep, even in solid concrete, and automatically determining its magnetic properties, is invaluable on many jobs, saving time and eliminating costly guesswork. Until now, the only alternative was to destroy the walls or crack open the concrete to see what was in them. Without MT6, you might as well be working blind."
