24BDIO-plus

* 24BDIO serial 24 channel digital I/O card
* Included Emerging Technologies PM232
* Pullup resistor networks (RNK)
The 24BDIO-plus includes a 24BDIO Serial 24 Channel Digital I/O Card. A PM232 is included to use the 24BDIO with a computer as well as the pullup resistor networks (RNK) for using the BDIO as an input, the AC power adapter, a DB9 cable, and the stand-off mount kit.
The 24BDIO (24 Bit Discrete I/O Card) provides a simple interface to discrete devices. Communicating to the 24BDIO serially, in input mode, reads 24 bits of TTL level digital inputs or, in output mode, writes 24 bits of TTL level digital outputs. The serial connection is a simple two wire serial interface. The serial communication is true TTL at baud rate of 2400 bps, no parity bit, eight data bits, and one stop bit (2400N81). The operating mode is user selectable via dipswitch. The input mode allows reading each of 24 bits as inputs. The output mode allows control of each of the 24 bits of the 24BDIO via three bytes of serial data in hex mode, and via nine bytes in ASCII mode. The software-selectable user interface modes allow the user to communicate with the 24BDIO using either hex or ASCII for the data values. You can view the datasheet at /DS_24BDIOrB.pdf
Emerging Technologies' PM232 (RS232 - ShortStack Interface) The PowerMax ShortStack Interface Card (PM232) provides a simple interface between a computer and Emerging Technologies’ Short Stack devices. There is a voltage regulator included to convert higher supply voltages (9 to 30VDC) to 5VDC. You can view the datasheet for this part at http:// /DS_PM232.pdf.
