As with static and rotary phase converters, the two single phase lines pass straight through the digital phase converter. These lines are unaltered and maintain a pure sinewave. The 120 degree separation of the phases is created and maintained digitally using the DSP.

Power factor is better than 0.99:

Protects itself and your equipment:
All models monitor the incoming current and will shut down if overloaded for more than a predetermined time period. Each model also comes with an output contactor for switching on the load after a warm-up period. This output contactor can be configured with a current overload to provide an overload motor starter for protecting the load. Built-in motor starter option:
With the addition of a current overload, the output contactor can be used as a full current motor starter. The digital phase converter can then be used as a whole as a motor starter. After the unit is turned on, there is a warm-up period, and then the motor starter is activated, which can start the load. This feature is commonly used in deep well pumps and other simple systems that require a starter. Back to top >
