Has a good amount of torque and can operate from 3VDC up to 12VDC.
This motor has been manufactured for rotating large advertising displays.
Has 4 diodes connected to the terminals, to ensure rotation in a desired direction. Diode bridge can be removed, and entire mechanism is bi-directional.
Speed at 3VDC is about 12RPM and about 45RPM at 12VDC.
Gearbox diameter: about 1.73".
Shaft is .24"sq. x .22"H nylon with a hole in center of shaft that goes in about .125". The faceplate is about 2.25" x 2".
Gearbox made of 3 identical modular sections. Each section is a planetary gear reduction stage, driving the next stage. ( 3 screws hold the gearbox together ) Gears are lubricated with light oil.
Disassembling the gearbox must be done very carefully, since you need to see and remember how parts were aligned inside, to realign them the same way for reassembly.
