This is a vintage crystal oven manufactured by Bliley Electric Co., type BC-46. It is used to maintain constant temperature of a crystal to provide minimum frequency drift. The device appears to be a high quality unit, encased in ceramic and maybe designed for use in aircraft. It requires 10 volt @ 1 amp. for operation and mounts in a vintage 5 pin tube socket. The unit may be adaptable for use in many of today's projects or may of value to a collector of militaria.
