* Description: Used with the 8554B and 8555A spectrum analyzers, the HP 8544A Tracking Generator is a tracking signal source. The 8444A provides a swept source for frequency response measurements and a constant amplitude signal for a a frequency counter input. Swept frequency testing from 500 kHz to 1250 MHz is accomplished with the 8444A. The dynamic range is greater than 90 dB from the spectrum analyzer with 1 dB gain compression point to average noise level (approximately -10 dBm to 100 dBm).
