This item is a High Voltage, High Current Single SCR, in a Stud mount package, manufactured by Powerex. It is OEM marked: "143-318-020."
It was used in 440 Volt 3 phase industrial power supply equipment. This item is used. It was carefully removed from working equipment (that was declared surplus). It has been tested and found to be good.
The OEM marking merely indicates the contract number (of the purchase). It conceals the generic part number (and the specs). This fine SCR is probably a 1000V to 1600V (or more) SCR and at least 150 Amps (probably MUCH more). This is my estimate based upon the case size and the other industrial semiconductors (that were installed in the same equipment). That is: this equipment also contained 1600V 150 Amp Dual SCR modules and 1000 Volt 400 Amp Darlington transistors.
