The USBCPLD-1 development board is designed as a platform for developing firmwareand software USB interfaces to programmable logic. The board is designed as a daughter card to the Celeritous USBDEV-1 USB development platform, which contains an FTDI FT2232C dual channel USB interface that can be programmed to interface with the FPGA in a variety of parallel and serial modes.
This board was originally designed to assist in the development of hardware and software for other Celeritous products such as the USB Industrial controller, CCD camera and other devices. It can be used as a stand-alone USB interfaced programmable logic device or as a development tool for integrating features into your own designs.
* 1 ea Xilinx Coolrunner XCR3128 Flash CPLD
* 1 ea 20 MHz oscillator module tied to GCK0
* 24 IO Lines brought out to 2x12 0.100” headers
* 1 ea 2x4 0.100” JTAG header
This board is also not designed for direct programming of the CPLD though the USB chip. For that functionality you should consider the SP2DEV FPGA Development Board. This board requires the use of an external JTAG programmer (not included) in order to program the CPLD.
